I love the quiet of no power! No hum of a motor anywhere, just peace! I have plenty to do without electric, and yes a treadle is very nice to have. I do worry about my fish, and frozen food, but have never lost either. We often have it out for 12 to 15 hours - so much peace!

Reread my Agatha Christie collection! or take a nap, or if I'm real desperate, I'll "putz" around the house "DE cluttering", etc.

A guild member lost her power one icy winter and all the food in her freezer and fridge went bad. ? She has a big back porch and an able bodied DH. She didn't get much sympathy.
