Have you gone into the control panel on Windows to see if you printed is shown as "offline"? I had a printer that used to mysteriously show up as offline on occasion. I'd have to go to control panel and printer and put it back online and then all would be good in the world of printers.

Sorry, I just noticed something. I'm using Windows 7, too, and you don't have to go thru the control panel. Just click on the start button at the lower left and one of the options will be "Devices and Printers" click there and go to your printer.

You might just need to wake it up. I have our wireless printer (HP something) hard wired to our main desktop computer. Obviously have no issues printing from that computer. When using the laptop downstairs, as long as the printer has been 'awake' (powered off/on) it works fine. If it's been asleep for a while - no dice. We are running Windows 7 on all computers as well. Just a thought.

Yesterday my printer was not printing and all I did was run clean. All the other suggestions are great.

Several times with various printers(all HP) the only thing that worked was uninstalling and re-installing the printer.
Usually you can uninstall it, shut everything off, re-start the computer and it will recognize the printer attached and go online to get necessary program to re-install. Or, you can use the disk that came with the printer originally to re-install.

My printer went offline and I haven't been able to get it back online at all. It shows connected too! WI FI light is on, nothing to change. But keep getting error message not connected. I have to physically plug it to the laptop to print.

Don't know if this will help you. Whenever the power goes out my printer(HP) needs to be restarted. I turn the power off for 5-10 sec. then back on & that seems to 'cure' the problem.

Sometimes you have to shut your computer down and unplug the printer from the power source - not just turn it off. They get balky that way.
