Thank you for sharing. Saw the lights over 50 years ago when I lived on a farm in northeast Nebraska. Has to be very cold for us to see them this far south.

I've seen them a few times here on the edge of town, but my daughter in the country sees them often. (both Northern Lower Michigan) These are wonderful pictures.

I live in Alaska, and it doesn't matter how many times you see them, it seems like the first time. They are awesome! I hope all of you get to see them.

This came up on the Anchorage Daily News this morning with some beautiful pictures of the Northern Lights from around the state. You will have to Ctrl-click on it to have it come up I believe. We have lived in Juneau and Anchorage and now south of Anchorage so we've seen the northern lights. Atmosphere has to be just right and the further south the less colorful. I know people see them in Montana and other northern states. Always an amazement to watch them charge across the sky.
