Hi all... Kim in south florida here.
I'm in the North Palm area, and wondering if there are any other board members local to me? I'm looking for a quilting buddy to share stash, swap FQ, drink coffee with, and learn from. I'm a new quilter, and a new vintage machine enthusiast. I also am a new seamstress and want to learn how to make my own clothing, etc. Please note: this is NOT an ad. I am NOT selling anything, or seeking a relationship (lol) other than that of a like-minded quilting buddy/friend. I DO have a lot of stash that I've been given - so much so... that I cannot keep it all. And I have no one to share it with. I took six 60 gallon bins of fabrics over to the local charity sew group already. Anybody out there want a quilting buddy in south florida? |
Wish you were on the gulf side.I'm going to start snowbirding next year.Connie in CO

Why don't you join the PBC Quilters Guild? It meets the 4th Saturday (in Dreher Park/same entrance as the zoo).
Crappy website but info on meetings: http://www.palmbchcoquiltersguild.com/ The February meeting features a national award winning quilter from Coral Springs. Or if Stuart is closer to you, here's the info on the Martin County quilt guild: http://www.mcquilters.com/default.htm |
We are in close proximity to one anohter. I live in Delray Beach, and although I have been sewing msot of myh life I am a newbie when it comes to quilting. Had so much stash that it was getting to the point where it was going to be sharing my bed. Sent it to my quilting buddy in CA. I am working on a Japanese fabric qujilt, but having a hard time. Winging ti along withn books and my quilting buddy in CA. who laid out the entire thing for me. You can send me a PM and lets see if we can get togehter over coffee.
