Just wondering if anyone does thier own acrylic nails I have been interested in seeing if I can do them after taking my daughters to get their nails done a few times they love haveing them done and for me to be able to do them would be great and save alot of my money (MORE MONEY FOR FABRIC)it doesnt look that hard but quilting doesnt look that hard if an experienced person is doing it either

I've never gotten acrylics, but my DDs and my nieces all do their own. None of them have been trained, they just practiced on each other. So it's possible. BTW they're all in their 30's and 40's, not teenagers.

when i used to shoot pool, i did my nails every tuesday..they looked pretty, and sort of used them as a bridge!

haven't done them in years..never did them in the summer months..because i garden without gloves. and it gave my nails a break...

i just used the glue on acrylics..medium length. square tips..

I had mine done professionally for about 4 years, then when I was going to move over here (from UK to Ireland) I trained so that I could learn to do my own, and perhaps get a job doing them. I didn't get a job doing that, but kept doing my own for several more years until I got to the point that it was difficult to keep them on because of ridges on my own nails.

I loved having nice nails, as my own have been rubbish all my life. I used to enjoy being able to keep polish on them (it always chips off my own), and I got loads of compliments too.
