I had to look this up:

As a I live in the area where our our National D-Day Memorial is located (Bedford, Virginia, USA), I appreciate our nations's observations and commemorations of efforts and sacrifices in wartime. We made Anzac biscuits one year for my son's class for Remembrance Day (Nov. 11)here in Canada. It was a recipe that travelled well for sending to the troops during WW1. It also didn't use eggs that were hard to come by. They were very tasty and a good aid for the teenagers to remind them of the hardships suffered for men stationed overseas. The recipe was from Martha Stewart under Anzac Biscuits.

First I have heard of this. Good to know at 67 there are lots of things I don't know. This board of wonderful people has taught me lots of things. Including new technics for making quilts and just life in general.

I attended our local Anzac Day Service, which also includes local school children, who together with other groups place wreaths at the memorial for fallen servicemen and women, lest we forget. Darlene
