I did my first in the hoop item today
a small coin purse and discovered I needed
scissors that cut closer to the embroidery....
any tips on scissors? thanks from a very hot florida........hee hee hee hee Rita

The duckbill applique scissors will work great, I've used them for years with good results. I know Joann's carries them but they seem to always be out of stock in my area. I'm sure there are plenty of other places to get them also.

I bought appliqué scissors at walmart and they work great! Set of three.

I bought my " duck bill" Ginger applique sissors at JoAnns using a coupon.. years ago . They often have sissors on sale ... They can be quite pricey so be on the look out for the coupon or specials.
I love the gingers .. one of those tools once you have them , you will never want to be without.

singer puts out a small pair of scissors with rounded pts...for like 4.99 that are great...Got them at Joann's.
Use those for in the hoop...though I do have the actual applique scissors don't use them much
