Does anyone know of or where I can find an item called APRON CLIPS. These are made by the Dritz Company. They are an old sewing item and are used to make aprons. Even if you have some to get rid of I would be glad to buy them. A friend of mine is making aprons for her Christmas Bazaar and she needs some. She has tried Joanne's, Hancock's etc.

Never heard of them - what are they or what do they do? I'm just curious. Ooooohhhhh, okay. Now I know what you mean! ( Saw on the link below.)

Yep, that's them. Grams used to buy them all the time from Herrschners and make aprons. I still have two for my aprons. Grams had a big hard belly and these fit around her great.

I'm looking for the apron clip also. Someone on here suggested using it to make my mom an apron. Do these come in sizes? I need one for a plus size person.
|
Unless you have a 60" waist, they work for any size waist or lack of.

Yes they come in sizes. Try the Clotilde Co. I do not have an address for them but was suggested I go on line to the catalogue. My friend is ordering some from there.

Umm, no they don't come in sizes. It is One size fits all and expands beyond belief. Here's a pic. Ignore the price. That was eeons ago. They are now up to about $5 or so.
In my most recent Clotilde catalog, they are on page 62, left side, midway. It is on the same page as the tracing paper, Shape-weights, etc. Follow Blue10moons link. That would be it. Apron Clip |
