What a night here. We got bad thunderstorms with baseball sized hail. My oldest daughter and I have tons of dents in our cars but no broken windows thank goodness. Youngest daughter wasn't as lucky. Her windshield is shattered. We lost three windows on the front porch and five in the house. And to add insult to injury the roof is leaking now. Sigh. At least no one was hurt. DGD was so scared. Now it's off to the insurance company and hope for no more rain til I can get the roof fixed. It's kind of ironic, the insurance company called me a week ago and wanted to know if I wanted to raise my deductable to save some money and thank goodness I said no. Someone was watching out for me there I guess. I told DGD Mother Nature was having a temper tantrum. At least that got a laugh from her.

Oh no! I am so sorry :( So happy to hear that no one was hurt. Glad that you listened to yourself too :D:D:D

oh no, hope you get your damages fixed soon

so happy you didn't raise your deductible (I was an Insurance Agent for over 25 years, and my boss was always wanting us to ask clients if they wanted to raise deductible, as it makes the agency look better on loss ratios with the higher deductibles)

so happy to be out of the Insurance industry

We were watching those storms here in south central Nebraska. They looked ugly on the radar. I could see the tops of the thunder clouds from my patio doors and later on in the evening we could see the lightening. Glad no one was hurt and hope the insurance company comes thru.

Here in NW Missouri things are a mess. Crops completely destroyed, lots of structural damage. We are fairly lucky, only 6 windows busted, but we lost all of our propane as one tree that was sheared off hit the tank. They had to haul the tank off in a cloud of LP. Our car was sitting beside the tree didn't get any damage to it. Feel very fortunate about that but we still wonder how that happened. Lost another tree...just sheared them off at the ground. Trees on our chain link fence. We have two huge pine trees in front of our house. They really took a beating. I love those two trees. Paint on the west and north sides of the house looks like somebody used a paint stripper on it. Now we get to see how good our insurance is that we have been paying premiums on for 30+ years. :?
The one window upstairs that busted out is in my sewing room, can I just say the whole room is a mess. I will get it cleaned up, yes I will. Lots of water damage.

The storms in the midwest have been frightening. Several months ago I started watching Dutchsinse videos on YouTube. This guy has been tracking the correlation between HAARP ring and weather modification radar and severe weather. Here is the latest one which included Iowa http://youtu.be/YCyRKX1jI5U
