Can someone please help me? years ago we stayed in Bar Harbor, Maine, you could walk down from hotel to little restaurant where we ate breakfast, you walked further down a street they had the best ice cream in the world, you walked further and there was a pier with fishing boats, docks ect and we want to go back and stay at same place. Cannot remember the name of the hotel! It was clean and inexpensive and when we came out of our room, it faced woods on a hill side and I think it was a long white building. We stayed two nights. Can someone please help me?

My grandparents live in Bar Harbor so I am quite familiar with this area. Are you talking about Bar Harbor Inn? It's located on Newport Drive. There are several hotels/Inns along the waterfront. Beautiful area - especially in the fall/winter months.

I will check it out on computer, thank you soo much for your quick reply. I cannot recall the name, it was very clean, and not expensive and I know when we walked out the door we faced a hill of wooded area, a few steps down to ground then you were in the "front" of the building and you could walk to this little restaurant and it was all in a hill side not far from everything. Thank you so much for helping I will check it out.

You are so welcome! Hopefully this is the place you are searching for. Other than calling the city's tourist number, I'm not sure of any other way to locate the destination you are looking for. Good luck!!
