I live in the mid-Atlantic , in Southeast Virgina. We rarely get measurable snowfall, especially in December. I have lived here 42 years and we have never had more than a dusting of flurries on Christmas day. The closest we have come is 5 inches the day after Christmas in 2002. Well, right now there are 2 1/2 beautiful inchesof snow outside with more falling!! YAY!!! It started about 3pm Christmas Day - stopped for a while, then started in earnest about 8pm. We are expecting accumulations up to 10 inches with snow falling from now through Monday morning. This is such a great Christmas present for all the kids and those who are kids at heart!! Merry Christmas everyone!!!

YAY!!! It sure makes the holidays special doesn't it?? (Unless you're trying to travel!!!) We usually get lots of snow, but we've had some earlier this month and it's been melting. Tonight the snow finally started falling again about 1/2 hour ago!
