I wonder if anyone here has block printed fabric, either linoleum block or other medium? I know it is an ancient technique from many cultures and I'd like to try my hand at it. Any advice on where to get supplies and colorfast ink?

There are a number of handmade stamps available on etsy.
I have no idea what I'll do with them but I had to have them:

Also, Joann's/Michael's have some (limited) that you can use to try. Probably the smartest way to get a good inexpensive start without investing a mint. You know, like I did.

dharma trading company is where i purchase most of my supplies. they carry many blocks for block printing, they also carry rubbing plates if you want to do rubbings. they carry many different fabric (mediums) such as pigma crayons to use with the various blocks, stamps and tiles. along with books, dvd's, and free help pages. i do make my own at times too and usually purchase the supplies for that from stores like HOBBY LOBBY

Thanks for the tips! I was thinking of carving one myself, but if I can find one that is right and already made, that would be great. I used to order from Dharma. They are great and I will look into it.
