The answer is YES!!
I keep my fabric color coded in those covered tubs outside in an enclosed porch. I needed some small pieces last night and took a flashlight with me. While I was out there I heard a voice weakly calling "Help". Reversed on the lawn across the street was a car--I thought someone had driven back over the curb and was too confused to just drive forward (this is in a retirement community). I went over and found a man (the driver) on the lawn pinned by the car. He'd gotten out and the car had rolled back, knocking him down. The open door had dug into the astroturf trapping him beneath and the one wheel had rolled onto his pants leg. I called 911, grabbed a quilt to put over him and stayed with him until help came. They chock blocked the car up and pulled him out---Luckily he was uninjured. So now I'm glad I didn't have a free room in the house for my fabric tubs :) |
Oh my! What a story. It is really amazing the twists and turns fate takes to bring people together to help others. So glad you decided to look for some fabric and that you heard his faint calls for help in your enclosed porch. How true it is that God works in mysterious ways!

Who knows how long he might have been there if you hadn't found him. And you even had a quilt handy to help keep him warm. You did good.
