I have a lunch tomorrow at a very fancy hotel and it's one of those Murder Mystery things. It's a wake for a gangster, set in 1929.
I went to Burlington this evening and I found a drop-waist dress with a flirty hem, a cloche hat, pearls, gloves, and a pearl bracelet with a black flower. I also got some round-toed heels with a flower on it. I'm going to put my hip length hair into three ponytails and then curl it and pin it in pincurls so that it looks short in the back. Just long enough to peak out under the hat in the back. |
Looks nice on the hanger! You'll look divine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
|
That is perfect.
|
Oh how fun, would love to see pics of you all dressed up
And and let us know who did it  |
Really neat! Can you take pics at the luncheon? It would be fun to see everyones attire.
|
Oh... and the dress was only 9.99, the hat was 13.99, and the necklaces and bracelet were 4.99 and 3.99, the shoes were 9.99. Not bad!!
I'm sure I can get pictures. |
Oh, what fun! I was lucky enough to get to act in a murder mystery dinner theater once. U of I was hosting the Big Ten Purchasing Conference and I got to play the ghost of the first murder victim. A non-speaking part, mostly just gliding by doorways, windows, etc., but it was loads of fun. It was held at the Robert Allerton Mansion in Allerton Park. http://allerton.illinois.edu/

Well, here's one picture. I can't take a full length one myself with my camera phone. :-D
My hair won't let the hat go on. I've moved the bun, took it out and twisted it up... it's just not working unless I put my hair on top of my head. |
How fun!!Hope you can get the hat to work. The costume is great!

I did wear the hat. I had to take the bun out and put my hair up flater. I'll get pictures probably on Monday.
The murderer was McDonald, the Scotsman, who was actually the FBI agent, Farmer. He was in cahoots with Vito's (the victim) wife of 3 months, Lena. Frankie, Vito's son, shot Lena at lunch and he was also involved with her. It was fun and the food was really good too. |
How fun! And your outfit is beautiful. Perfect! Thanks for sharing. I have always thought those Dinner Shows would be a blast.
