anyone have any ideas on creating a usable "fanny pack" which can be put around the waist snuggly, or in bra.

I'd like a way to carry money, drivers license card safely and securely and not carry a pocket book.
I do have an idea, and am thinking of using velcro for closing the bag, so what can I use for wrapping around the waist?

When traveling I usually try to wear a knee length cloak instead of a coat. And with either one, I take them to a fabric store and try to match the lining and buy enough fabric for a pocket on each inner side. My money, credit cards, ATM card and important stuff goes in them. Either way, a purse can be worn under the cloak. And the cloak is easy to make.

Not something crooks find easy to pick pocket that way.
