The Buffalo Theory as told by Cliff Clavin: No one can explain this as well as Cliff Clavin, on Cheers. One afternoon at Cheers, Cliff Clavin was explaining the Buffalo Theory to his buddy Norm. and here's how it went:

"Well ya see, Norm, it's like this... A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members.

"In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kills brain cells. But naturally it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first.

In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers."

CHEERS! Hope it made you smile!

sorry to interrupt a good joke, but i need to point something out for the future information and use of all.

the internet is a fabulous way to share things in a flash and around the world. unfortunately, that's also why so many artists, authors, etc lose credit for and control of the results of their work.

if you run across an article you think the rest of us would enjoy, check first to see if that publication has a website. if it does, and if you can find the article, you shouldn't copy and paste (or retype) it word for word in a board post. you should write a few words of introduction and then give us the link to the "original" article online.

if you don't know the source, have tried but can't find the source, please provide as much credit as possible to who wrote it, where you found it, etc.

as artists ourselves, we should do our part to "help the cause" of giving credit wherever and whenever credit is due and possible.

end of lesson. back to the joke.
