Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies have released a video of a barking Chihuahua angrily chasing off robbers at an Altadena smoke shop.
The video, released Monday, shows two hooded men, one armed with a rifle, running into the Ace Smoke Shop on July 7 and demanding money.
As the store owner begins putting money in a backpack carried by one of the men, the owner's Chihuahua begins barking incessantly and jumping at the men, chasing them out of the store and down the street.
At one point, one of the men even points his rifle at the Chihuahua, but the dog is undaunted.
Neither the store owner, nor the dog was injured.

I heard about this on the news... the chihuahua wasn't hurt and the owner said, they only got about $100... not much... He's just glad the dog wasn't hurt...

I love this video. I have watched it several times and that is a Chihauhua through and through. They might shake and act timid but the can be vicious and protective.

I have a Chi mix and he shakes, does the poor me, paw up thing and for a long time after I rescued him fear bit and peed. Despite all that and his bad beginnings, my now "changed" Topo would literally die for me. He is super-protective and always is on alert, especially if we are taking a walk and a stranger comes too close. When he and his big Malamute x adoptive brother are in the garden, I can leave the doors and windows open knowing no-one will step inside our gate with "our boys" on guard.

Tough little guy! I'm just glad they didn't shoot him! I once heard a former burglar turned good guy say little dogs are feared more than big dogs as the little ones are more fearsome (like the one in the video), and bigger ones are more likely to just follow them around.
