Does anyone know anything about this...Chinese bee pollen? I was at a volunteer activity and a women was telling me that she lost 15 pounds in three weeks taking this... all natural, no side effects. She didn't diet or do anything differently. Can this be true? (oh, so tempting... I really need to lose 20 pounds, but just haven't been able to put my mind to it!)

There is no magic pill or supplement. I wish there was. The only way to lose weight and keep it off is to use more calories than you take in.

I'm sure Chinese bee pollen has other uses besides the claim that this woman made for weight loss. I just wondered if anyone else may have tried it.... for any purpose! There are so many herbal supplements out there and I don't know what half of them are for. I guess I'll do a search later and read up on it... I was just wondering if anyone else here used it for anything!

You make your quilt and eat less, the only time you get sweaty when you have to take out some stitches. Yes your heart will beat really fast, when you see how stunning your work turned out to be! Could this cure be expensive, yeah, we all know that. Side effects of this treatment are: comforting others, teary eyes, hugs and kisses, smiles, thank you's, sleepless nights Addiction : Yes, very addictive! |
hmmm how many calories does quilting burn??????

http://www.beepollensecrets.com/ Carlson Wade in his book Bee Pollen and Your Health, says you can live off of 22 grams or so and if one had nothing else, you could survive with that. (That would be a maintenance dose, I believe.) It's possible as bee pollen has every vitamin, amino acid, mineral, and enzyme necessary to sustain life. |
I think the only dangerous thing with the "chinese" bee pollen your friend is talking about is that she may be taking this: http://www.amazon.com/Zi-Xiu-Tang-60...7813941&sr=8-1 which is a Chinese product containing Bee Pollen. However, several of the ingredients are various types of laxatives so it is probably good for weight loss but not necessarily healthy compared to just bee pollen.

I do take bee pollen, but under supervision from my DR. It cleans you out, tastes pretty good and in the 2 years I've taken it haven't really had a cold or major illness. I just use it as a mineral supplement. As for the weightloss, you have to do it the old fashioned way - diet and exercise.

just because it's "NATURAL" does not mean it is safe.
|
that's right, remember arsenic is all natural, as are poison mushrooms! :-(

I like common sense. |
That's so funny...one of the hockey dad's on my daughter's team used to make his son drink it thinking he would turn into Wayne Gretzsky...no luck!!!
|
Bee pollen is in fact a good contributor to weight loss since it speeds up your metabolism, making your body burn more calories and it also works as an appetite suppresant. However, chineese bee pollen is said to often contain contaminants due to their high pupulation and pollution.

But...but...but that means excise and I can't do that because it makes my heart beat really fast and I get all sweatie and out of breath![/quote]
That's what exercise is supposed to do. The more you exercise the slower your heart will beat & the less you'll sweat....and your heart will thank you :). |
Most cross country bicyclists take bee pollen. Two of my son's took it for years to increase endurance. Now they tal maintenance dosage and swear by it. They are excellent racers.
|
I would not trust anything from China that I had to take by mouth. Look at all the food contamination problems they have had.
I get all my supplements from a company in New York that manufactures all their own products and does a lot of testing on them. |
Be careful. There are alot of things that say and are "all natural" but that doesn't make them safe. On top of that some of the "all natural" things counter act w/meds. This is another reason to let your doctor know "everything" you are taking when he asked; even if it says "all natural"
