LET ME KNOW IF YOU THINK THIS IS AMAZING AS I DO....

AlwaysQuilting 07-01-2011 12:23 AM

that is so neat! I tried it several times and thought of obscure people and it was always right.

KwiltyKahy 07-01-2011 12:37 AM

Amazing, how do they do that?

Celeste 07-01-2011 12:59 AM

I thought of Kate Jackson's character on Charlie's Angels and he tried three times before I gave up. . .

quiltsillysandi 07-01-2011 02:14 AM

I don't know how this works, but I did a famous comedian, then I did a champion motocross rider, Chad Reed...The first I wasn't surprised at, the 2nd, I was....Give it a try, it's fun....

alikat110 07-01-2011 02:44 AM

Did it once....stumped him!!!

ragqueen03 07-01-2011 03:43 AM

did it twice - first time got it, second time he didn't but he was close!

donnaree59 07-01-2011 03:49 AM

He got both of mine... Both hunks of course...Tom Selleck and Sean Connery. Guess they are pretty popular choices!

LeeAnn 07-01-2011 03:54 AM

Wow! Amazing on what little information you give.

zennia 07-01-2011 03:54 AM

Amazing. he got me every time.

MZStitch 07-01-2011 04:03 AM

Yep, amazing. I even thought of someone no longer popular, had to answer I don't know or probably a few times and he still go it!

sueisallaboutquilts 07-01-2011 04:47 AM

OMG this thing works!!!!!!!!!!!
I just got the most hunky pic of Richard Gere! :D:D

sueisallaboutquilts 07-01-2011 04:51 AM

Well, I just stumped him on one of the Yankees- Mark Teixera lol
This thing is fun but I need to get something else done today hahahah :D:D

nyelphaba 07-01-2011 04:53 AM

Why did you tell about this, I have been doing for half an hour now. Fun!
I stumped them with Merv Griffin though. So much fun.

QuiltnNan 07-01-2011 04:54 AM

he got mine right the first time and wrong the second

sueisallaboutquilts 07-01-2011 05:02 AM

It took him 56 questions but he got the writer James Frey.
This is so much fun!!!

Jennifer22206 07-01-2011 05:07 AM

Took 60 guesses for it to guess Dora The Explorer. :D

hobo2000 07-01-2011 05:20 AM

This operates off of a huge database with a superb search program that operates in reverse. By our questions it reduces the number of possible choices until it comes down to a few, then it asks a key question that points to one of the remainder. I was a database programer in a previous life. (25 years ago). Knowing that, I have stumped it a few times. Notice, if you go to the end, it asks you to put in the characters name, thus building on itself for the next one. Got Rhett Butler but not "Fritz the Cat" or Darth Vader.

Yankee 07-01-2011 05:23 AM

He got Gregory Peck on the first try, but he took four tries to get Roddy McDowall, and he did NOT get Neville Brand.

Fun to play though.

Carrie Jo 07-01-2011 05:35 AM

nope, not even close. I was thinking of Sam Elliot and he guessed H. Heffner.

CoyoteQuilts 07-01-2011 05:48 AM

Cool....

QuiltE 07-01-2011 05:55 AM

I tried two of our former Prime Ministers ... Kim Campbell and John Diefenbaker, and he nailed it!

Took more Q+A's before he came up with Lucy Maude Montgomery. Just tried Scott Thompson, first guess he went with Brent LeRoy, about six more questions and he got Scott. Almost stumped him with Buddy Cole .... he came up with seven possibilities, including Scott who plays him, then eventually got it

Curious for the ones who stumped him, were your people "very" obscure? And were you answering a lot of I don't knows or probably/nots? I wasn't sure how to answer some of the questions when it was a character role, so expect that caused the long-drawn-out session.

I guess this is programed like the computer that played Jeopardy on TV!!

tealady 07-01-2011 06:47 AM

He got my first two, but I stumped him on Julie London.

tutt 07-01-2011 02:05 PM

Instead of Thelma Lou from The Andy Griffith Show the genie guessed Minnie Mouse.

Did you keep going to see if he'd figure it out?

dogpursemaker 07-01-2011 03:04 PM

He got two out of four of mine. He didn't get Barbara Woodhouse or Dan Wilson. Must admit, I kept giggling at all the questions asking if he had a funny name, difficult name etc. Couldn't get more basic! I went to question 56, and then the program errored out.
I guess I should say, that he actually only answered one of mine on question 19-the other one he got took 40+ questions.

Some of the ones he missed for me were, Darren McGavin of Kolchak, Jameson Parker from Simon and Simon, Northern Dancer the race horse, and Richard Deacon from the Dick Van Dyke Show

By the way....I was wondering how to get pictures in there. It says you can add them but I cannot see how.

Yankee 07-02-2011 07:24 AM

Oh, it also took him 5 tries to get Ed Bradley.

Lv2sew2011 07-02-2011 07:33 AM

He got the first one right, missed the second one on first try but guessed it on second try....was amazing....

George Washington
and
Paul Newman

fishhavengirl 07-02-2011 07:37 AM

Was thinking of Georgia O'Keefe and he got it right off. My mouth fell open when I saw her picture. Never thought he'd get it...LOL

JANNY 07-02-2011 07:45 AM

I did Florence Nightingale and he was correct and as you, I did Merv and he guessed Lawrence Welk.

cwessel47 07-02-2011 10:15 PM

Four tries for me. Robert Redford (I've been reading how are you famous - lol) took 60 ?'s. Kate Hudson was only 20. Bette Midler was another 40 and Freddie Prinze took another 60. Thought it was funny that after the first 20 in the first celeb- his guess was Kevin Costner. Yup - I see the resemblance to the Sundance Kid!

cwessel47 07-02-2011 10:38 PM

Had to keep trying. Finally stumped him with Anna Quindlan. Now that I won - I can go to bed!

wanda lou 07-02-2011 10:46 PM

was right twice.

amazon 07-02-2011 11:18 PM

Wow, that is so neat. Guessed Christina Aquilera right off the bat, blew me away ,but I stumped it with Alf and Marsha Brady, it guessed Jan Brady though.

Yankee 07-10-2011 05:15 AM

Does anyone know how to add pictures to it? The game says that you can, but I do not see how.
