i like to use the Chineese takeout containers and decorate them for the holiday, (christmas, easter, ect.) for easter when my son was little, he would decorate the pint size and put dirt and a bulb in it and call it "Spring in a box".
other items I've used are , of course the cello bags and tins. what ideas have you used? |
Oatmeal boxes, coffee tins, baskets, plates
One Christmas, I found some really pretty tall glasses, and make chocolate dipped pretzel rods to put in them. Once I went to Home Depot and bought brand new paint cans with lids and decorated those! Turned out really cute. |
Fabric boxes with color saran wrap to wrap them in. My sis also has used the clothesline fabric covered bowls that seem to be the thing this year.
|
I used to save coffee cans all year to fill at Christmas.
|
I like to wrap gifts with a yd of fabric for certain people. The really like that.
|
I like new paint cans and Mason jars.
I like to wrap in fabric, even dish towels for my non quilter friends. I love decorating with real cranberies and popcorn |
I do cookies for my kids and of course grands and use the decorated Christmas boxes used for presents. I put a stiffer piece of cardboard in the bottom and place all cookies in individual baggies. You can get alot of cookies in a medium box. Of course I use cookie tins for other people and Christmas plates for friends. I picked up some Christmas plates at an estate sale for $2.
