This may be a great time to use up fabrics in your stash.
From everything I hear, cotton prices are skyrocketing.I have a friend who works at a quilt shop, they are worried as to where this is going. She also informed me that she has heard of two shops that may be going out of business.

Also might be a great time to get together with friends and share some of our stash that we don's use.

What a dreadful thought to think we couldn't afford to do what we all love so much.

My thinking on this is to buy, buy, buy, if the prices are really going to get out of reach let's buy while we can still afford the prices. Just my way of thinking.

Your idea does make total sense. Maybe I should get dressed and go shopping.

Here where I am, Joanns went up in many prices, but one of the two local quilt shops(Haven't been to the other yet) has only increased prices on some of the fabrics, most is still where it was before the big cotton is going sky high scare.

Prices are crazy. Looked at some cotton prints to make a dress for my daughter and it was $12 a yard. I assumed it was because its from a certain designer. Pretty just not $12 a yard pretty. But I have noticed it becoming a trend. Even the "economic cotton" cheap stuff, has gone up in price.

Our GreatGrand Mothers didnt get to the LQS, and the quilts are beautiful! We just have to pick it up when we can, and repurpose old clothing, sheets, bed skirts & etc.
