Creativity A Symptom of Mental Illness?
Howdy y'all :c)

"creative genius".....well I guess I'm safe.:D
|
Doesn't apply to me. I would probably have more mental problems if I didn't make quilts.

Sounds like just another half-cooked theory, to me. My own theory is that creative people are simply more sensitive and are therefore driven crazy, by those unimaginative, boring people, who have nothing better to do, than try to stifle creativity in others.
"Those two blues are exactly the same! There's no difference! Are you crazy?" "That'll never work! If it would, someone else would've already thought of it! Are you crazy?" "Just follow the directions! You can't just make up your own way, to do something! Are you crazy?" Is it any wonder, creative people sometimes go crazy? |
I have been creating art of some type most of my life, if I am crazy it sure has been fun so I won't stop now.

Who's making the judgement of what is sane or insane - non-creative Philistines? Sounds more like jealousy to me...lol

Wow, I am SOOOOO glad to know that my crazines is in chjeck right now, because I cannot seem to get anything finished.
I can't blame it on the 9-10 hour days at my job, or not having enough time, it becuase my schitzophrenia (sp?) is under control. Thank you for your help! Happy quilting! Susan |
