Credit Card Fraud...Please watch!
Thanks Ditter! I checked mine and I don't have the chip but we do need to be aware of this. I will check out my replacement cards for chips when they come too.
Thanks Ditter...I didn't know.
Thanks Ditter. This is a very scarey thought. We as a work force have worked to hard and to long to have our money just taken in a matter of seconds.
Thanks Ditter. I too, did not know about this. Can we go back to the 60's?? I know life was much easier then.
Thank you for the warning. I have passed it on to my children and friends. There is always something new to be aware of!
Thank you . I shall now use up some tin foil . Cheep safety factor.
Thank you for this information. I will be sure and share this with my family and friends.
Looks like the aluminium foil stocks might be a good bet in the future!
I was just telling my DH about this earlier this week; however, I was not aware of the details. I've sent this URL to my DH for his perusal.
Thanks! |
Looks bad. Surely though the holder could not be liable? A problem for the CC companies for sure. I know when my identity was stolen i got all the money credited back to me.
MY 20 year old granddaughter purchased something that cost $5 from the internet. A couple of days later she came and showed me her bank information and there had been 3 charges totalling $200 on it that she never made. She went to the bank to have them correct the problem and while she was sitting in the bank there were two more small charges for "international wire transfer fee". Turned out the charges were from an African country. Bank of America fraud unit is looking into the scam.

Thanks Ditter.
I too will sure watch and yes even wrap in foil or get a shield if no too expensive. Crooks have devious minds as you can see. PS. Keep those jokes coming. lololololol :):):) Happy Quilting lovely lady. |
I have an RFID envelope that I keep mine in at all times....got it for free on the net from Deal Genius over the holidays...

Thanks many times over Ditter.

Thanks, I had no idea my card could be a problem. I'm due to get a new card soon and I'm going to make sure it doesn't have this chip. Again, thanks so much!
I have a Chase card and just checked it and it does have the chip, so I called and they are sending replacement cards. Also forwarded this to family and friends

Yikes!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the warning. DH got out his card to check it out. Now where is mine....
I've just discovered that credit cards fit in an Altoid's tin that I happened to have. That would protect them from this problem, wouldn't it? Maybe I'll get fancy and decoupage some quilt fabric on the tin.
Thank you for this warning. Good grief----------why do we constantly have to be concerned about everything? Lets go back to the 50's.
