cute grandson story

My grandson is 4 and came to spend the day with me today while my DD was at work. He brought me a flat balloon that he had poked a hole in with a pin. He put a bandaid on the hole to try to stop the air from comming out but we all know that didn't work. He asked em to sew a patch on it for him so he could put air in it again. He told my DD that "Grandma will fix it! She can fix anything!" He was so serious about it. I carefully explained that sewing woulf put more holes in it and it still would not hold air. Then I got him a new balloon and he was a happy kid! It was so cute!

It is so nice when they think Grandma can fix about anything. My youngest grandson was visiting and I had a friend here with a young child about the same age. My grandson asked if he could show his new friend our upstairs. I said, "Yes, but you know that you don't touch anything in my sewing room". He was really good about it. We heard him say.....as they were just standing at the door....this is where shirts get fixed.

My 3 (2 GS. ages 6 & 9, GD age 3) are my reward for not aborting my #4. We provide child care for them and they are a delight to have. There is nothing like having a child slip their arm around you saying, "I love you Grandma"

My grandsons live across the street from me and before I can get my truck in the garage from working all day they are flying out their door and over they come! What's for you fixing for dinner mamaw? (just in case my dinner is better than what stepdad is fixing... mommy works evenings) or I need help with homework? or what have you got to snack on?... and every night the oldest (12) comes back over to kiss me goodnight. Oh my goodness I love those boys!
