In the desert we have tomatoes in December!

I took these pictures today of my tomatoes, grown in pots with lots of miracle-grow. They will be ripe for Christmas! Jalapeno peppers too. Our California desert growing season is in the winter, summers are too hot.

Mmmmm, looking tasty. I have been watching the bad flooding on the California coast this week, hope it isn't a concern where you are.

What a beautiful crop....and your plants look wonderfully healthy. We have a lot of tomatoes growing....but they got a bit battered by a freak storm the other day...should probably have some ready for Christmas.

Here in New England, I'll have to wait until August to have a "real" tomato. The stores have what I call plastic ones, pretty but not very tasty and hard.

Where I am is semi-arrid. I once picked my last tomatoes in November. It always depends on when we have the first killing frost. I wrapped them in tissue and they were ripe for Christmas dinner. Enjoy those nice tomatoes for your Christmas dinner.
