Do you think I can make her a bit more comfortable?

My fur-baby loves her comfort and I am in the process of making a string quilt for my sofa-bed but in the meantime I have put my buzz-saw quilt on it, which is her unofficial bed, one of many.

Tonight I was watching a program with animals in it which is a no-no for Muffin, they might invade her private space so..........

She jumped on the sofa and with her nose tossed the side cushion on the floor, as it was obstructing her view of the TV and kept a watchful eye, hmm for a while :) Do you think I have made her as comfortable as could be?

Hmm don't know if the second pic will pass the censors, it's a bit racy.....

Our babies sure love the comforts we provide. Our 3 girls sleep in heated houses outside and if it is really cold they sleep in the garage and the shop both heated of course...LOL

And we won't even get started on Kola the cat's lounging habits......she plops down where ever I am the busiest at.

MaryStoaks 01-28-2013 06:38 PM

She is so comfy! My dogpeople each have quilts on my furniture, they love the quilts and it saves the upholstry.

Ahhhh, there's just something about lying on a quilt... I'm hand quilting a large quilt for my DH and both dogs (a beagle and a yellow lab) will vie for space on the section of quilt that is lying on the floor next to me... If I need to move or turn the quilt, they are not happy!! so (happily) spoiled!! :-D

We really need a "like" button!

Yes, I think you have spoiled your Muffin about as much as you can. Enjoy her while you can. She is a doll.

Krystyna 01-29-2013 07:57 AM

I think Muffin needs a tiny cushion to lay her head on. You are very mean not to have provided one!

Tothill 01-29-2013 08:09 AM

Love the comment about watching animal shows. There is a door in the wall right beside our TV. If an animal runs off screen to the left, Oscar runs into the other room looking for it.

Oscar has a little rag quilt under my bed. That is where he sleeps each night.

lol-very cozy.It funny how all of our pets also love quilts as much as we do

I did but as you can see she has thrown it on the floor and the black one is on the wrong side, must move it to the other, thanks for the heads up :)

I washed my little Clem's quilt and after 13 yrs of use its really starting to look its age -so like a good Mommy I made him a new one. Well he dragged it out of his travel box -which is where he goes to get away from the 'girls'- He hates the new quilt so I spent a few hours finding scraps as close to his quilt as I could to do some major repairs. But he is happy now.He has his quilt back in his sanctuary.

Muffin has a cuddle bed under my quilting table, it is made from an old pillowcase and filled with all my itsy bitsy quilting bits, thread, batting and fabric too small for anything else. She has all her favourite toys on it and if she has anything to chew she takes it there but boy oh boy do I have a job in getting in washed! I take it away when we go to bed and toss it in the washing machine but as I don't have a dryer she has to wait a day to get it back, she is not happy with that and although I have made a spare one she won't use it, she has to have the original one, and look at the state of it!

Love it !!! Our Brie (Avatar) loves quilts and her pillows, especially if they are someone else's LOL ! She is my inspector if it passes the dog test then its good !LOL

Dragonomine 01-29-2013 10:59 AM

One of my dogs is laying beside me on the couch. That is HER spot. If my other dog is there she will scratch at the cushion until she moves.

In our bedroom a took a 3" thick large piece of foam and covered it with a sheet and blanket and set it at the foot of the bed. They use it but sure enough, in the morning they're crowding me in the bed!

I think Bess is her most comfortable self when she is laying on her back sound asleep. She looks dead!!!!! I just put a cover over her, she rolls over, cozies up and goes back to sleep!!! And for those who love their pets as much as we do, here is something that Martin Luther (founder of the Lutheran Church) wrote sometime back in the 1500's - "Be thou comforted, Little Dog. Thou, too, in Resurrection shall have a little Golden Tail." Which tells me that when I go to Heaven, Bridget and Bess will be there waiting for us. Now, look at Muffin and look at Miss Bess and doubt what Martin Luther said. Edie

Miss Daisy is constantly under my feet. And yes if I am quilting any thing hand or other wise and it puddles on the floor she is laying on it. She has a bed in the sewing room but most times isn't on it. At night she is snuggled right up to me. I figure by the end of the night I have about 12 inches of the full size bed. If the other dog in the house eats out of her bowl or lays on her bed I have to wash them or she won't go near them. Good thing I absolutely think she is the best dog in the world. :)

Iraxy 01-30-2013 07:34 AM

Our rottweiler/pit mix thinks she is a person too. She has her own TV "viewing" mini futon and quilt in the living room and has her own dog bed and quilt in our bedroom. She eats at the same time (but her own food) we do and loves vanilla ice cream. She is most definitely spoiled, but she is part of our family and we love her.

She looks totally out -of-it.

You can tell she is loved. Your Quilt is also beautiful. Can you tell me the pattern? I love log cabins, but this one is unique

I have emailed you but for other quilters interested: the quilt is not a log cabin it is called Buzz saw quilt from this book http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/0...ls_o00_s00_i00 I must admit that I don't buy many books but this one is esceptionally good value with lots of really good pattern, ideal for stash busting, hence the name :)

It is very similar to this one of Bonnie Hunters http://quiltville.blogspot.co.uk/200...majesties.html

Looks to me like she found her piece of heaven on earth.
