and if yes, where do you shop online??
thanks for reading Granny |
I used to. Mainly, I'd buy apparel fabric at local stores. Joannes etc.

I sew for my grandkids all of the time! I get fabric at Joanne's, Hancocks or this little Mexican store down the street. My husband said it's a fire trap, but they have GREAT prices!

thanks a lot. But sitting in Switzerland I am looking for an online shop.
In particular I would like to have cotton jerseys and interlock Granny |
When I'm sewing for kids (now grandkids) I always just shopped for fabric wherever I could find it. Only fabric I've purchased online has been through this board. You might try Joann's online, but I'm not sure what they have in the way of knits.

I do sew for kids, but I haven't bought any fabric online that is for their clothes. I actually use a lot of quilting cottons for thier clothes, and everything else comes from Wal-Mart or Hobby Lobby, or a local store.
At some point I remember running across an online store with really cute kids' knits, but I can't remember the name, and apparently I didn't bookmark it. |

Yep, try to keep to the simple patterns so its quick otherwise might as well go out and buy it finished, do try to keep it in now colors, and a some of the older patterns can be used, no matter what year they were made in. Right now have a gathered skirt to do in pink skelatin (spelling;) fabric, this little one is excited when ever I sew for her, prissy little thing, thinks I'm her personal seamstress. :)

Try Fabric.com. I love shopping from them.
