Does Anyone Know of a Site to Order Sweatshirts Without Dropped Shoulder

I hoped to make a sweatshirt vest worn with matching sweatshirt underneath. I
ordered two sweatshirts from Nancy's Notions, a medium and a large. They are
both hugh so am trying to decide what to do -- exchange for smaller size, return
and cancel etc.
The main problem is the shoulders. The picture on the website
did not give much information and did not mention a dropped shoulder. In
researching further,it seems most of sweatshirts are made this way this season.
I would want matching seams on the shoulder so would have to cut at least four
inches off of one shirt. Is it possible to remove this much and still have the
sleeve fit into the armhole. Hope I am explaining this clearly. I've never had
trouble cutting off a inch or two but don't know if it's possible to cut off
this great amount without creating another problem. What do you all think? Am
I just being a Nervous Nellie?

Have you tried Walmart, Target, and your local sporting goods stores?

My opinion is it's going to be hard to find sweatshirts that don't have that dropped shoulder. I personally think they're rather sloppy looking and prefer the raglan sleeve style, but whatevs. Manufacturers don't care to consult me, lol.

Since I've not made any kind of sweatshirt jacket or sweater, I'm not going to be much help in the alteration department. Hopefully someone else will be able to guide you.

What about the Hanes brand for women that Walmart carries. Good price and the ones I've gotten in the past have held up well. Also, check out Old Navy.

I've looked at several of the big box stores and about a zillion sites online but the dropped shoulder is all that's available. I've decided to cut the three to four inches off the shoulders of both sweatshirts and hope for the best.
