Does your dog snore or barks and growls in sleep?

Sophie does all of the above. She is so funny and does get loud.

My dog, Sophie, 5 year old Shih Tzu is laying on the couch and all stretched out and snoring up a storm.

Sadiemae 07-07-2011 08:53 AM

Molly doesn't snore, but she does have nightmares.

Shelbie 07-07-2011 08:53 AM

My dog Molly doesn't snore but my DD's cat sure does.

LoriEl 07-07-2011 08:54 AM

My dog used to snore, sometimes bark or growl. I guess he was dreaming! They are just too cute sometimes.

Ripped on Scotch 07-07-2011 08:55 AM

yes both of my dogs snore... somedays louder then others.

tazzyjj 07-07-2011 08:55 AM

My dog, Kitti, snores so loud I have to tell him to go sleep in the living room at nite, just like having a guy in the here!! lol Mine's a Boston Bull.. :-P

fishhavengirl 07-07-2011 08:58 AM

Have a black lab and she snores worse than any man ever could!

My "Alex" snores so loud at times he wakes me. You would think he weighted 250 lbs. instead of 22. Here is his picture.

juneayerza 07-07-2011 09:03 AM

My little dog, Brownie, has a contest each night with my husband to see who can snore the loudest.

quiltsRfun 07-07-2011 09:06 AM

Our previous beagle snored so loud she kept me awake. Current beagle snores but not as loud. The JR/beagle mix doesn't snore but runs and/or barks in her sleep. DH found that she comes right out of it if he snaps his fingers close to her head.

dd 07-07-2011 09:07 AM

Don't have a dog but my cat growls, talk, snores and kicks his feet like he's running sometimes. Guess some dreams are better than others.

Fabaddict 07-07-2011 09:14 AM

Trudy whines, snores, snorts you name it, she does it in her sleep - sometimes it is really funny to watch her

collady 07-07-2011 09:30 AM

My little Diablo snores some nights. He also makes little whining noises and does his little chihuahua half bark in his sleep. It is sweet.

Melrose R 07-07-2011 09:36 AM

My dog does all the time! Cute picture!

dixiebelle162002 07-07-2011 09:58 AM

My dog snores very loudly and sort of snorts at times. He will occasionally growl and do jerking like movements with his feet like he is running.

mollymct 07-07-2011 10:27 AM

My girl (also Molly!) snores, grunts, whines/cries (I don't like that!) and also "runs" sometimes! Don't you just wonder what they are dreaming?

grammiepamie 07-07-2011 10:59 AM

Both dogs do all of the above. Chewie will sometimes look like he is running in his leep while he is stretched out on his side, It is hilarious to see.

Both Truman and Lincoln snore. Truman makes the most adorable "night-night" noice right before he falls asleep. That is how we know he is all settled. Its like a deep breath and a studdered breath out. It makes me smile every time.

Truman being a good boy with Pharoah

Lincoln - in his thinner days!

Yes, and sometimes her legs move like she is running.

emerald46 07-07-2011 11:13 AM

My 8 lb Yorkie makes louder noise in his sleep than my Dad did snoring.

Sassy sores so much. Such a little dog and she sounds like a full grown man. But I love her. And like a full grown man(or my husband) if I jab her in the ribs with my finger she stops lol

noahscats7 07-07-2011 12:01 PM

No dogs here but I have 2 cats that do. And loudly too.

butterflies5518 07-07-2011 12:06 PM

My cocker spaniel does all of those, she snores louder than the BF.

MIJul 07-07-2011 12:08 PM

Snores, growls, barks, tries to run.... Would love to know what she's chasing in her dreams....

dogpursemaker 07-07-2011 12:21 PM

Every now and then Cameo will snore. It's the "sleep-howling" that kinda creeps me out though. She's the only dog I've ever owned that does that. Full blown howls-not whimpering and whining.

nycquilter 07-07-2011 12:25 PM

yes, both my dogs--two labs--and my husband snore and occasionally, the dogs talk in their sleep. the absolute worst is when the snores coincide and all I hear is sawing!!! ARGH. oh well, I love them all and bopping the DH lightly to turn over solves some of the problem.

janetter 07-07-2011 12:55 PM

All three of mine do from time to time. What really gets me is the way they can fall asleep at the drop of a hat, wake themselves up from barking in their sleep and go right back to sleep while I lie awake from being startled from it. LOL

FQAddict 07-07-2011 01:11 PM

I have a boxer and yes he snores very loud, barks, howls and sometimes looks like he's trying to run. It is sooo funny to watch his little legs moving back and forth while he's sound asleep.

Woodster 07-07-2011 01:17 PM

Woody sounds like a fire siren at times when sleeping, and has even raised his head up howling like a wolf when asleep. He also does the "running, snorting, snoring, woof woofing" while sleeping. Let's just say he can clear a room when he's sleeping, too!

sassey 07-07-2011 02:57 PM

my pom snores everynight and very very loud my son has a minature shitzu and she snore very loudly also.

Murphy 07-07-2011 05:53 PM

Very normal behavior. Many dream and snore as we do (smile). Cute furbaby. Thank you for sharing.

Stitchit123 07-07-2011 06:26 PM

I have a 5 lb Manchester Terrier, that I rescued from a horrible family,..she's been with me only 1 1/2 yrs I've never heard her bark or growl but she whimpers and whines in her sleep she sounds so sad that I pick her up and snuggle her to remind her she is now loved and cherished. But my calico cat snores like a car missing its muffler but only if she's been outside that day. When ever my husband snored like that I'd wake him up trying to move him onto his side but I would never do this to my fur baby :-)

gypsyquilter 07-07-2011 06:28 PM

oh yes, growling, whining, twitching and of course, dare I say it, farting too!!

donnalynett 07-07-2011 06:49 PM

Some nights I think my husband and the dog have a contest to see who can snore the loudest. The dog sleeps two rooms away!

katigirl 07-08-2011 12:04 AM

My doesn't snore but does make funny sounds when she is dreaming and is funny to watch.

wanda lou 07-08-2011 12:13 AM

Yes My German Shepherd snores very loud , Kind of sounds like my husband.
