A lady was telling her neighbor that she saw a man driving a pick-up truck down the interstate, and a dog was hanging on to the tailgate for dear life.

She said if the pick-up truck driver hadn't been going so fast in the other direction, she would have tried to stop him.

A few weeks later, her neighbor saw this truck at the Bass Pro Shop in Daphne, Alabama .

The pick-up truck driver is a local taxidermist with a great sense of humor. And it's not a dog, it's a coyote. Can you imagine how many people try to stop this guy?

Funny yet disturbing at the same time.

This reminds me of the story of the couple who, at night, hit a coyote while going 70mph down an interstate. They didn't stop (!) but, hours later when they stopped and went to check on damage, noticed a pair of eyes staring out from their front grill. Yup, the coyote was tucked up under the front bumper. It took animal control and a mechanic to free the poor thing who, thankfully, was okay. That's one lucky coyote!

So funny. What a wacky sense of humor.

I don't get the humor, think it is very poor judgement and rather sick also.

Mistreatment, or the suggestion thereof, is always distasteful, IMH. That said, my earlier posting about the coyote under the front bumper is a true one and illustrates that someone might think they "got away with it" but sometimes it comes back to bite you! I'm just glad, in the long run, the poor thing was okay.

I was driving down the highway a couple of years ago, going around 120 or something, and I passed a dude with a dog in the bed of his pick up truck!
I slowed down and fumbled to take my digital camera out of my purse to take a pic of the poor dog, and his license plate to give it to the cops. My picture came out fuzzy (I know I shouldn't have been driving and trying to mess with a camera) and the guy got off the highway a couple of exits later, so I really didn't have anything to bring the cops. Unfortunately. I really was going to report him, but I couldn't get a clear pic of his license plate.
