What a great project, not only to support the pouch and prevent pulling on the tube but also to make a person feel better. I was uncomfortable after surgery and would have loved having the rigging supported and contained between emptying sessions.

I've seen these before and the patients really appreciate them. One that I saw though was like a backpack. Still great thing to do.

This is a wonderful project and I think I will pass this along to our local hospital's volunteer center. They have many volunteers who are always wanting new ideas to help in any way possible. From a patient's point of view-nice and cheery and nice to know people care.

Thank you for doing this. You go home w/ drain tubes, the Dr says you can shower but don't get the incision wet, yet you have no way of holding the tubes, the soap, the washcloth, etc. I wanted to do these for the Breast Cancer survivors. What you have looks very deep.

does the patient have to hold this bag? The ones I like strap around the waist w/ a piece of fabric that is sewn in half, just deep enough to hold the bulbs.
There are websites that sell them but expensive and by the time the person is sent one, it may be time to take out the tubes.
