This may be a dumb question but here goes.
We just recently installed a cast iron woodburning heater. I love to burn candles and I add my own scented oils to them. I'm wondering if there is such thing as a little pot of somekind (cast iron I'm sure) that you can sit on top of the stove to heat the wax and oils while burning wood..............instead of burning candles? Does that make sense? :?

I had one of these on my woodstove many years ago just make sure not to let them run out of the liquid. Good luck I bet your home will smell awesome.

Wow those were pricey!! I would check out antique shops for some small cast iron container.

Your right, they are! I just checked Ebay for a used one and not much luck but I'll keep my eye out. At least now I know they actually make what I was dreaming of.

You can get a Tart Burner and just put it in there. The heat from the stove will melt the wax. Can pick them up at Yankee Candle if there is one in the area, but I think Walmart sells them too

My mom uses a little cast iron skillet. It's like the size for cooking one egg. She just puts in whatever she wants to smell. You don't want to be there when she decides she is stuff and puts in the Vicks!!

I wouldn't pay those prices. You can find small cast iron pots in many camping stores. Cracker Barrel has some unique cast iron pieces. I found one of the big cast iron kettles at a hardware store for $35.
