eavesdropping on ya'll

I have been reading everything on here for over a year. I have wanted to chime in a few times but am so computer illiterate (probably mispelled) I didn't know how to navigate anywhere. You are all so talented and charming that I am going to learn how because I enjoy ya'll so much. Thank you for sharing.

Welcome from South Carolina. I have been eavesdropping for quite a number of years and have learned a lot.
If you have any questions, they will be answered right away by all your new friends. That's how I have learned most of
my quilting, there are no stupid questions either. Love this group.

Welcome..
I'm laughing.. I lurked for a long while before I joined.. I think I was in awe of all the talented people.. I was having major issues on trying to keep up with all that I was learning.. Sort of felt like I was in an advanced class, and was afraid of missing anything. Since I have very little down time, I wasn't replying.. I ran into a problem when I tried to post a request for pieces for a stamp quilt.. A moderator deleted my post because I didn't have enough posts to be a senoir member.. Eventually I will get there.. but it won't be easy, as I really don't have me time..

Welcome

Hi, and welcome from Louisiana, happy that you joined us. I too did not chime in for a long time until I became comfortable enough. So glad I did, as this is a great forum and everyone is so helpful and knowledgable.

Glad you joined in, we don't judge, just enjoy each other,so don'tworry about mispells or other issues, we are all always learning

Welcome! Glad you decided to join the party. No quilt or computer police ever allowed here. My confession is that if I want to post a picture, my husband helps me. Mind you, I can figure out a quilt from start to finish but posting pics seems to be beyond my grasp.

I love seeing what everyone has made, and so many questions are ones I have. I also have to have some one help me with pictures. Need to update my avatar picture. Since my grandson is about 18 months now!

Hello and welcome from southeastern Oklahoma. I read for about a year and a half before I signed on. I even managed to mess that up - thought I was banned and I hadn't even posted anything yet. Oh well, I got some help and have been here ever since. Haven't posted any pictures yet coz I don't know how or even how to get pictures from my camera memory disk to computer. One of these days, I will have one of my sons or daughter-in-laws help me.

Welcome from Ontario, Canada. I am very computer challenged and everyone here helps me whenever I need it. I am glad you decided to come aboard!

My DD always had to load pictures from my camera to the computer. I finally had her talk me through it and she wrote it all down step-by-step for me Instructions are very explicit including little drawings of the various little pictures I have to click on. See if a written list like that would help you. I can finally do it myself. Posting pictures on the board is a whole other story though.

Hi from Ohio!

JabezRose 03-06-2012 03:40 AM

New, vcr/dvd player setting over there, two years old, never recorded on it. Donno how. Just recently got on high speed internet. That was a trip in itself, new laptop and highspeed at once, came close to divorce. Have simple flip phone, a shop vac. Van with crank winders. Sooooooo technically challenged, hard for me to work a light switch. Welcome to the board, you will learn, we are teachable. But hey, that fridge door don't give me no challenge. Guess that is why I love my old machines, simplicity.

mom-6 03-06-2012 03:49 AM

Welcome to the most fun and informative spot around!

Being technologically challenged seems to be pretty much the norm but so what, we 'get it done' one way or another. I'm feeling like a real dummy cuz I can't figure out how to open up the light fixture in my closet to change the light bulb!

Glad you decided to join us.

This is a fantastic board and if I can't get my daily fix I am a unhappy camper.

buslady 03-07-2012 06:30 AM

Welcome aboard. I joined right away, but I don't post a lot. I just don't have time to spend on the net that much, but I LOVE to read and learn, and I've dnoe a LOT of that. Great People, and lots of help when you need it.

Caswews 03-07-2012 06:58 AM

Welcome from the Western part of Colorado. I have learned oodles from these wonderful people on here (I am self taught) and it helps to read others comments, as to how they are doing things..

Glad you joined us! Welcome from Central Illinois. Hey, if it weren't for the back space, delete, or back arrow buttons, I'd never have a post on here that you could come close to reading!! But with all that, this group on this board accepts you anyway you come here. Enjoy your new found friends.

coopah 03-07-2012 05:45 PM

Same with me. I'm a very concrete person. I have to have it all written down, step by step including drawings. I do this esp. with computer instructions that I'm having trouble with & street directions. I'm trying to learn & undersstand how to work a simple digitizer program for embroidery machine & still have not managed to write down etc. everything I need to do so that I can change designs etc without difficulty. Just keep going back for help.
