Can you tell the difference between the chicken egg, duck egg and the guinea egg?

Hint: Rhode Island Red hens lay brown eggs.

I would guess the smaller pointy egg is from the Guinea Fowl and the larger white eggs are Duck eggs. The brown are hen's eggs.

I think the largest eggs are from the duck, the brown eggs outside the plate are guinea eggs, and the brown eggs on the plate are chicken eggs.

All brown and light brown eggs are from the chickens. 2 Big White eggs are duck eggs (inside the dish). The small egg is the guinea egg.

This is a true story about eggs. Some years back I was taking an adult education cooking class. One of the students asked the teacher how to cook "a goose or a geese egg". He looked perplexed but then went on to discuss the difference in volume, taste depending on what the birds feed had been and different egg cooking method. The student thank him but continue to refer to a goose or geese egg". The teacher asked why she kept saying "a goose or a geese egg". Her reply was that she wasn't sure if it came from a male or a female. Even the teacher had to bite the inside of his mouth to keep from laughing.

We have hens, ducks, and geese. Duck eggs have a smooth (almost plastic feel ) and are great in baking. Of course everyone knows what to do with chicken eggs. Geese eggs taste just like hens eggs but are equivilant to three large hen eggs. To hard boil it takes 20 mins but they make two nice size hard boiled egg sandwiches. All are great for their own purposes.

I know that the pointy guinea fowl eggs are harder than anything to crack. I guess they have to be since the guinea hens seem to be real clumsy and roll those eggs all over the place, let them fall out of the nest, wrestle them back in, just a wonder that any eggs became chicks at our house. LOL Have not had chickens since our move out west and am really looking forward to having chickens as soon as we build the chicken house this summer.
