For the last three days I have had my DD and a friend visiting. The friend brought her service-dog-in-training. That is where the problem started. I have an 'old man' cat named Bruno. Puppy thinks Bruno should play. Bruno thinks puppy should 'go die' somewhere. They did not make friends. We put a dining room chair on it's side in front of my bedroom door, to give Bruno a safe haven. This puppy is just over a year old. When I woke up yesterday, I went to step over the chair, lost my balance and fell striking my ribs on my oak footstool. (For the record, Oak does not 'give', and I am just badly bruised.) I am OK, but my ribs look like someone hit me with a bat. My sewing projects will be delayed. As long as I don't cough or yell, I don't hurt too much. This Puppy, (Max) is a Bull Mastiff, that weighs 157 lbs! I begged my daughter to go home early just so I could recover! On her way out the door, the Puppy decided to say good bye. He jumped up, placing both front paws on my ribs, which made me fall again. (No new damage, but OWW!) After they left, I then had to take a shower, to get rid of his good bye kisses. (Ever seen the movie "Turner and Hooch?) Bleh!
P. S. Happy new year to all of you too!
