To everyone

I have just watched the news in UK how are you all in the area affected by storms, tornadoes and snow? I have heard no electric, damage to property and drifts etc. I will be praying for you and that life returns to normal as soon as possible.
God bless and keep you safe.

Here in Oregon, the lower elevation roads are OK. We have 16 inches of snow: DH got stuck in the driveway and had to be towed! The GKs had a blast sledding.

I am only today opening up my computer to browse the sewing/quilting news. Our weather here in TN is cold and dreary. No other description fits.....but being a Louisiana girl from my youth, a little cold goes a long way with me here in Tennessee--and I guess age and medicine might be affecting the cold that I feel (or didn't feel when I was well and young).....Anyway, we can't seem to get our old farmhouse in the holler here warm--even with central H/A, and four gas heaters turned on. Need I say we have a BIG utility bill each month......DH is already making Florida for a couple of months noises.

We didn't get much.....about 7 inches that got flatten down by the following rain. So what would have been great snow for sledding and snowmen is now just crusty and annoying. We are supposed to be getting more over the weekend. BTW I'm in Western Mass.

Hey Neighbor...I'm here in Soddy daisy outside of chattanooga. We have the same here, dreary and cold. I don't mind the cold as I'm from Rockford IL. originally (Born in Chatt though.). I'm SO ready for some sunshine! I can handle the cold but this weather is getting to us here and if you're "sweet older woman" like myself this stuff can get to the bones and down right make a person feel lousy! Anyway...It could be worse so I am thankful for what it is. Hope you can find some warmth, stay happy and healthy...it goes a long way!!

Greetings from Bristol,TN. The weather here is dreary and cold; a few days ago the wind was cutting and cold. We have been spoiled by days of warmer weather and sun. However, that does not begin to compare with winters in Banner Elk, NC where the temp went down to -54 one year. I don't complain any more about the cold temps. Do agree that age and meds do make keeping warm difficult, though. Happy New Year.

Here in Central FL no snow, but cold and rain due tonight. I have lived in south after being born in Quebec and raised in NY, and now cold really gets to me in my old age. Will be glad when it warms up. How is your weather in England?

Hello, here in Texas we didn't get snow but got a fair amount of wind. It blew the leaves off the plants in my little front garden! Just a little north of us were power outages and tornadoes. We really missed it this time. Thanks for asking! How is your weather across the pond?
