Exciting!! New!!! Tumbleweed collection????

The wind blew hard out of the south yesterday. We're talking 50mph winds. I was off sewing with friends and when I got home I had to spend a good 20 minutes moving the weeds off the porch so I could get in the house.

Not my idea of a fun filled afternoon. We see them every now and then here rolling across the road, but never to this extent. Around here we get the neighbors yard full of leaves on our front stoop and freshly raked lawn. Not sure which one is worse.

In Chandler, AZ they have a tumbleweed CHRISTmas tree every year and a special night to light it up for the community. How about a tumbleweed tree for your front yard? I am making lite of it, but it is not a fun thing to come home to.

We had hard winds yesterday and today but thank goodness we do not have tumbleweeds.

Wait for the next windy day, lift them one by one and let them go free, I feel your pain. We get days like that here in NM. :D

Just goes to show I shouldn't be complaining about the leaves that have blown up all around the house this weekend......after we just got them all cleaned up. I would take my shabby little leaves over that tumbleweed any day! I would never have dreamed!!!!!

WOW! We've got the winds you had yesterday here today. Unfortuantely we're trying to erect a shed today. We have the floor laid and are going to call it quits ... no way we can hold those vertical wall panels vertical in this wind.

We have whistling winds today but not tumbleweeds. I remember those from my time spent in NM. I hope they blow away for you!
