Fabric sculpting

Have you made dolls by fabric sculpting? Do you have suggestions for a good book for a beginner?

Are you talking about the soft baby dolls? I took a class for that in the 80s but we did not have a book. They are fun to make and not very difficult.

I don't know anything about it but I just saw a book at Hobby Lobby today! It was back by the craft section. Good luck!

Matter of fact, I do! The doll making books by Susanna Oroyan are very good. Patti Medarus Culia has out some good ones too. Barbara Owens has a book just on fabric sculped heads. All of these books should be available on Amazon. I make needle sculpted dolls myself. If you need any help I willo be glad to help.

The head was the main part we focused on in the class. In fact I ended up with one head that I didn't have enough fabric to do the body so it ended up being called "no body". With a houseful of kids who wouldn't say who did whatever the bunch was being yelled at about "no body" got blamed for lots of stuff ! Lol!
