Facebook Craft site??

I have heard there is a craft group on Facebook and am wondering if anyone here goes on it. I'm very wary of going on the site because I'm not interested in any other part of it. I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has been on the craft site.

If you refuse to use facebook, then there is no point in joining just to see what that is all about. You would be receiving friend requests that you are saying you dont want. Facebook is much more.

You can locate more sites on the internet about crafts than you will find on FB.

Personally, I love FB, our family has a private group. If it were not for FB, I would never see pic of my great grands or know what is going on in my grandchildren's lives. But they post to our family group.

I am with you Jean. Without FB I would not hear from some folks and I like getting a little personal message now and then.

I have not heard of anything like that on Facebook, but that doesn't mean it isn't there. There are plenty of other places to be crafty, though, so if you aren't inclined to join FB (which I understand).

I have joined/liked several sewing/crafting groups on FB. I enjoy the information exchange. If there is something I don't want to see, I block it. I haven't had any problems and it keeps me in touch with people I don't otherwise see. It's a good thing. Just make it what you want.

You may have heard about Pinterest which is through facebook and is an app heavily used by crafters that allows you to collect sites. Kind of like enhanced bookmarking.

I would be interested in finding a craft group on facebook. Anyone know the name of one?

I only returned to fb after an interest in Pinterest. I don't log on daily but it does give me access to Missouri Star Quilt Company, All People Quilt and quilting blogs. All are sources for inspiration, ohhhhhing and awwwwing.

I am on Facebook to see my kids and hear about what they are doing, grandkids, etc. I also love Pinterest, but never saw a connection between the two. Pinterest is a lovely time-passing eye candy site where I've found some good ideas. But QuiltingBoard is all I really need for contacts. It's quilter crack, but an addiction I don't want to break.

Got out of Facebook=Trouble is all I got-even with family-not enough hours in a day to respond to the chat mail, housework, and quilting-I do belong to QNN.com-run by Mark Lipinski/Jodi Davis-lots of videos you can go into every month as many times as you want-and only $24.00 a year.

Thank you to everyone who answered. LynnVT, I loved your comment about QB being quilters crack. Think I'll stick with QB for now.
