I was thinking it would be fun to take a poll of everyones favorite Valentines candy.
I'll start. I have two because I can't decide which if my all time favorite. I like the conversational hearts because you can use them to create goofy sentences and they are yummy. My other favorite is the cinnamon hearts.. they warm the spirit :D |
Are you kidding me??? Has to be a box of good chocolates!
|
I would say Dove chocolates (my fav anytime of the year) and also cinnamon hearts!

Great big chocolate hearts with loving messages written on them.
|
I like dark chocolate hearts with raspberry jellies inside. I used to get them in a candy shop on my college campus, but no brand name was attached to them and I've been unable to find them since. So I guess the closest thing would be Joyva ring jells, though they are not Valentine candies.
A good romantic man could wipe the thought of chocolates right out of my mind, however. |
I love Dove Chocolate, but this time of year, I love Sweettart hearts and Gobstopper hearts!
|
I agree with the Dove Dark Chocolates...but I do love those shaped candies by Brach? called Mellowcremes? Anyone know what I'm talking about???
|
I have this receipe for this choclate cake that starts as the icing and then you take part of it and make it into the cake. ummmm, haven't had it in years.
not much on candy- but a good chocolate cake- I'm there. Of course, I don't like icing, I peel it off and leave it for someone else. Oh- when we were growing up- Mom made meatloaf and put a ketchup heart on top. My favorite Valentine's meal- I do it for my kids. |
Conversation hearts. I love that taste. Not the new ones that are sour though.
|
I love the chocolate covered cherries...but the ones with the clear stuff inside are the best. They come in heart shaped boxes at Valentines.....YUMMMMMMMMM
|
Is it Chocolate... Its my favorite. LOL... I am making Huckleberry chocolates for my single friends. I call it single awarness day instead. Not the best holiday to be alone. Guess I better go buy me some chocolate that makes everything better lol.

And I agree about the chocolate cake, love that! Okay, everyone, what's your idea of a romatic Valentine's Day dinner? The thing that comes to my mind is lasagna with the right wine or chianti, though I'm not fond of wine and would probably choose something else to eat... |
I really like carmels that are covered with chocolate. I used to always try to find them in the sampler boxes from See's that my great aunts always gave our family at Christmas. It has been years since I had any. But fond memories of using the map on the box as to which little section had my favorite.
|
Favorite food: would have to be a good bottle of wine in front of a nice warm fire!
