WOW!!! I'm impressed!!!! I was a slug about my education and have regretted it in my later years. When I retired, I discovered how much my co-worker, making the same $$ I made, was getting in retirement. He'd gone to college and was making the $$ LONG before me, I had to work up to the position. His retirement income was 3 times what I bring home.............so CONGRATS -- You're a smart woman!!!

Congratulations! You go girl! I was also a "non-traditional" student. I got married right out of high school, skipped college, got a job, had kids, etc. At age 45, and newly divorced, what to do with my life? Get that college degree I always wished I had, that's what! Got a degree in fine art and finished with honors before I turned 50! Yay! (and my kids said I'd never pass Math 101 - only had to take it once and made an A!)

Congrats. You should be so proud of yourself. And your children will learn that education is important. When I was a 27 year old widow, with a 5 year old son, I too returned to college for my degree. My son saw me studying, and a few times he had to go to school with me, and he learned the importance of an education. He received his bachalors and masters degrees in 4 years! So, way to go for yourself and your children!!!
