He looks a bit devilish-in a good way. He's cute.

sandy14 08-09-2011 03:21 PM

He reminds me of my little grandson who is now nine but on his first day of kindergarten he had a grin just like that and honestly he is going into fourth grade this year and he is still grinning like that. He has had really awesome teachers and no bad experiences and I am so very happy about that.

Best wishes to your grandson

How precious is he? I agree with Sunflower126 . . . he looks like he is "up to something" with that big grin of his! :)

carmen garcia 08-09-2011 04:26 PM

I remember when my first grandson was that age. He is now a senior in high school. Time goes too fast

ontheriver 08-09-2011 05:26 PM

Mine starts back to school tomorrow, yeah. In fact, UPS just delivered his last book, spelling and language. Was worried he would not have it in time. He goes to private school and we have to buy the books. 19 books for the 6th grade. I and my pocketbook felt this was kind of excessive. Last year for elementary, yes they grow up so fast.

bjnicholson 08-09-2011 05:29 PM

He looks excited for what the year will bring. A love of learning is written n his face. I taught for 35 years and always looked forward to those shinning faces. I hope he has a wonderful year.

He reminds me that when my grandchildren were little, I always took them to buy clothes for fist day of school. It is hot here in Oklahoma, so I could get new shorts or tees or jeans for the boys. Did this thru grade school. When one of them started college, I called him to see how it went and he said" fine, but I did not have a new outfit". He is 28 now and still wants grandma to buy new clothes. He has a great job now and just married, so we get a laugh out of this! Enjoy your little one, he will be in college before you know it!

Me too. I'm as sad as they are when summer vacation is over :(

teacherbailey 08-10-2011 04:00 PM

Too cute! My 6th graders often look that impish when they walk in on the first day....usually it's covering up being scared to be in a new school, which is sooooo big compared to their tiny elementary schools. They're fine by the end of the first week, though. Hope the little guy loves school!

ksea 08-10-2011 04:41 PM
