I just scored a bunch of new ones and they are mostly 400-500+ pages!

Between quilting, SPRING, life etc I haven't been reading much lately - usually just a few minutes at bedtime. And with over 100 books waiting for me on Kindle (which I pronounce Kendoll LOL) I hadn't checked in a while.

Ah, thanks! Your timing is perfect. I just got one for my birthday and last night started reading up about it. I bought 4 books, very cheap but I need to get my WiFi connection in the Kindle.
Thanks for the link~!!
I know I'm going to love this thing! My son knows his Mom :)

I have a "Nook" and I'm loving it ... I still like to read real books though.

Ain't free books great? I have a nook, and I can find free stuff there also. I love my nook, but I still go to books for stuff.

My favorite quote for books is from Rupert Giles (Buffy series):

Smell is the most powerful trigger to the memory there is. A certain flower, or a-a whiff of smoke can bring up experiences long forgotten. Books smell musty and-and-and rich. The knowledge gained from a computer is a - it, uh, it has no-no texture, no-no context. It's-it's there and then it's gone. If it's to last, then-then the getting of knowledge should be, uh, tangible, it should be, um, smelly.

I love, love, love my Kindle. Although I think the 1-click to purchase button on Amazon is very dangerous, it is too easy to purchase a book. I am amazed at the number of free books or $.99 books.
