Thanks Ladies for all the great links. DH won't use his kindle, but guess who does? DW, me.

I learned to look at the number of pages on free books. some are only 15 pages!!! who would publish such books? So I look for over 200 to 300 pages. not worth my time otherwise.

Wow! First time to download a free book on my kindle directly from my computer.. I feel like I just witnessed magic...Thanks for the pixelofink site...BellaBoo. I also, only "buy" the free books, as Rose Marie stated......

I love Overdrive! I use it almost exclusively now on my phone.
If you check on Facebook there are a couple of groups you can "like" and get free ones that way.

I like Overdrive but for some reason when the book is returned it remains on my Kindle as Checked In even though I have removed it from the Manage My Kindle site. Its annoying because there are a number of titles on my list that I canm't get rid of.

will send an email each day with a list of free downloads.

Here is another one - free daily listing and usually has 25-30 books listed with a good idea before you punch in on the Amazon link - I like it. http://kebooks.com/

Since reading about these sites I have been loading free ebooks. I love the Christian fiction so I have plenty to read now. Wow, thanks ladies.

Thanks for this idea. It's a great way to find titles in a random order that appeals to the dabbler in me. Careful, though: a few of the books that came up are not free but can be borrowed for free if you have Amazon Prime. It would be too easy to get carried away and accidentally click "buy with one click" thinking you were shopping from a list of freebies when you were not necessarily.

I have been looking for free quilting books, anyone found any? If so, where?
