April is 15 yrs old. We let here out on the patio this morning. She wanted to bring it in the house!:thumbup::rolleyes:

Did you reward her after you released her prize? I always rewarded my cat when he brought me presents to encourage the behavior. It encourages them to come to you first and you can rescue the victims before they are hurt or before they eat them and you have to clean up the mess. YUCK!

oh yes, you have to let them know they were such a great hunter providing for the family. cute pic.

Oh, two of my three favorite critters. Cats and lizards!

She got sick after this so we did not give her a treat. She is OK now, sleeping on the bed.

Hope she (and the lizard) are okay now...that is a BIG lizard! What kind is it?

Wow, that lizard looks huge in the picture on the door/window frame! Never seen one like that; ours are little green things.

My fur babies leave feathers, guts and mouse fur on the porch under the table. Thankfully they have given up bringing them as gifts to the front door mat. :hunf: Yuck.

My MindySue would bring birds to the top step - I'd have to bury them before going to work. One morning I caught her skulking and I told her''' I understand this is natural for you but I do not want to see it'' She never left a bird on the steps after that. Let there be a mouse in the house and it was like she would point at it to tell us to get it -she apparently does not like mouse steaks : )

My Nubbin would bring in squirrels, doves, and mockingbirds, usually dead. Except for the squirrel he brought in for Thanksgiving when we had 19 friends and relatives over for dinner - it was still alive and lead us all a merry chase until it escaped out one of the doors we had opened for that purpose. I imagined it giving its own Thanksgiving prayer for its escape. Love our furbabies!
