well sort of on Broadway. My daughter earned her Master's degree in Musical Theatre Writing from NY University in 2010. She wrote a lovely musical on Wonderland before Alice arrived. It was the backstory explaining many things, such as why the Mad Hatter is mad, why the Cheshire cat's grin fades last, and why the queen chops heads. This summer NYU is presenting it as a full production starting tonight and running through Sunday. It is being staged by NYU's graduate musical theatre acting program. It is being presented on Broadway, just not in the Theatre district. I am wishing her and her writing partner best wishes. And I wish I could be there for her.

How cool! I majored in theatre (and I actually have a job in theatre, amazing!) and although I've become less enchanted with the business as time goes on, it's still a big part of my life. That's a big deal, having a show produced in a major venue. Big, big congrats and luck to her!
