Haunted House
 

DH was sitting in the livingroom. I was at my sewing machine, as usual, at the other end of the room. The front door was between us. All of a sudden we hear, SSSCCCRRREEECH, SSCCRRREECH and the door pops open. DH lets out a "What the heck" (I'm paraphrasing). I knew emmediately. The cat was out on the sun porch and wanted back in. The screeching was the door rubbing as she tried to open it. I don't know where she gets the strength, but she can open that door to get in and to get out. But this was great cause DH had no idea and when that door popped open, I thought he would pass out!!! I laughed at his disbelief. That door does not open easily.

Too funny!! I have a very large dog, she can't open the doors, so she just sits there and knocks (with one paw), until we let her in. If we don't open the door right away she knocks harder and harder until we do. Aren't fur babies wonderful??!!!

My fur baby Pearlie, the tuxedo kitty, uses her sharp nails to scratch the glass storm door...<shiver!> I move pretty darn quickly when she does that!

I had a cat (weighed about 16 lbs, mostly in his stomach) that simply attached himself to the screen door with a loud thud to let me know he wanted in. Somehow, he never tore the screen door. If he was sitting on top of the opened garage door when I drove into the garage, he would jump off the garage door onto the top of the windshield and proceed to slide down the windshield. By the time he got to the bottom of the windshield, I had stopped the car. Perfect timing.

Very pretty Kitty. My cats are declawed and reasons stated here is exactly why. I had a couple years ago that were not declawed and they shredded ends of couch and stair corners. The three I have now are inside only cats.

LOL My husband would have wet his pants. We put a cow bell at the bottom of the screen door that my cats would ring if they wanted to come in. I was afraid come winter I wouldn't hear them. Not to worry, they just grabbed the screendoor with their claws and banged it into the frame! LOL

When they were little we lived in a trailer with a scrap together screendoor. Butterscotch would run and jump on the door and cause it to swing open, Bashful would run in, Butter would then jump down inside and head to the food bowl. Resourceful little buggers

mine beat on my bedroom door when they want in to sleep with me and on my sliding closet doors when they want out. can't stand the noise, so they always get what they want.

Have ya'll seen that video of the cat reaching under the door and playing with one of those spring thingies doorstop. He grabs it making it go boing boing boing over and over until his owner lets him in

My sons two kitty's jump on the screen on their picture window. Just stare into the house till someone gets up to let them in. The kids watch for them!

The cat we had when I was a girl, used to stand up and jiggle the doorknob when she wanted out or in. My SIL's German Sheppard could open the car door with his nose. It was a certain type handle. We left one of the child proof locks on the cabinet that had the dry cat food in it, so our 2 cats couldn't get into the food. One cat would sit there and pull at the door, thump, thump, until one of us got up and gave her some food. Animals sure do entertain us.
