I have alot of vintage embroidery preprinted design items that have this sticker on them and it has left a yellow glue residue. Does anyone have any idea how to remove it. I have tried vinager, rubbing alcohol, and windex with little results.

It might be the perfect place for a label or an applique if you cant get it out. If you have an embroidery machine a motif could cover it. Just thoughts...let us know what you decide:)

I have no intentions of keeping these pieces, I will likely sell them on QB or ebay. But that is a good idea

with it being so old it may be there forever but WD40 would do it if it was fresh, then you have to wash it out, that looks more like the ink has soaked into the fabric, maybe a weak clorox solution would help

I know this will sound like a pain in the butt, but could you just take the binding off, trim just a bit, and then re-bind? ... part of that stain could be caught in the binding area, so you wouldn't necessarily lose very much...

Since you didn't show the whole thing, I don't know if this is a possibility or not ...

I have tried different solvents in the past for various reasons. I figured my fabric/blouse/etc. was stained and I had nothing to lose. I just rubbed it in and let it set (timing dependent on age of stain) before washing.

WD40, peanut butter, olive oil, shortening

Maybe Baking Soda??? I thought the rubbing alcohol would have done it. Maybe try ice too..

Some old time household hint books mention stretching the fabric over a teacup and pouring boiling water through the stain. A modern approach would be to soak that corner (only) in an oxy type solution according to directions on the package. BUT I haven' t tried either of these methods. Please let us know what works..........

Try peroxide or isopropyl alcohol.

If nothing else, what about Goo-Gone?

Or, as someone has already said, what about removing the binding, cutting off the one long edge and resewing it?
