Recently I answered a post and sent it, then realized that I had misread the post and answered it incorrectly and wanted to erase my answer. So I went to "Edit", backspaced over the whole thing and sent it again, but it didn't work.
Does anyone know how to delete a post once it has been sent? |
I think you have to ask a moderator.
|
You can't. I think only a moderator can.
|
You can't send a blank post ... if you had left one character it would have worked. I believe if you want a post deleted you have to contact Admin.
|
You, the user, can't delete a post.
When that happens to me - say, the board gremlins cause a duplicate post - I just overwrite it with a "dupl. post" comment. I don't think you can post a completely empty message. |
Yep, just tried it.
No empty messages. So just put xxx or misunderstanding or dupl post. ;-) |
Just Pm a moderator they will do it for you no problem.
|
we'd prefer you ask a moderator to delete it for you.
those might-as-well-be-empty comments create a lot of confusion and misunderstanding. |

LOL, no you aren't the only one to misread. Back when I first started posting I made a BIGGGGG misread, embarrassed the heck out of me! I'm really careful now.
|
PatriceJ has saved me embarassment when this has happened to me , and she's fast too. LOL.
You have a few minutes to "edit" and you can type in an totally different answer. Makes more sense than, oopsy.... Then again, PM the Mods, they rock. ♥♥ |

Thank you, everyone. Next question - how do I contact a moderator?
|
Look at the post by PatriceJ just above your's. She is a moderator. Click on her name & then in the next screen click on "send Pm". Send her a PM with your request. That's all there is to it. Easy peasy :D

You can go to the Home page down near the bottom where all the users on line are listed you can find a moderator among them in the dark blue bold print. Some other are in the same color but moderators are in bold. Just click on their name and you can PM them from there.
