I have been on the board almost 2 years and have no idea how I came across it. None of my friends, except those I've met here, are on this board or even know what I'm talking about when I mention "my quilting board".
So my question is "How did you know about it?"

craftybear 08-07-2011 05:09 PM

I was surfing for free quilting patterns and fund this site

spartan quilter 08-07-2011 05:10 PM

If I remember correctly, I was just googling for some pattern, and this popped up, I got hooked and it has been peaches and cream ever since. Love it, and can't imagine not having access to all the info that is available here.

I was whining to my husband about having all these quilting questions and nobody to answer them and he asked why I didn't join a forum. Now he laughs b/c I have over 700 posts in less than a year and he has only posted 30x on his computer/tech forum.

lheartsl 08-07-2011 05:15 PM

i think from a ...blogg..

JeannieT 08-07-2011 05:15 PM

amma 08-07-2011 05:16 PM

Me too. Now I can't live without my QB. My DH asks me everyday when he gets home "Hows my day and hows the QB"

RenaB 08-07-2011 05:16 PM

Google. I was looking for patterns and this forum came up in the search results.

I have met so many wonderful people..and a few I have met in person..it is GREAT...

sparkys_mom 08-07-2011 05:18 PM

I was looking for assists on binding and found the board that way. I joined in March, 2011. Then I more or less forgot about it. Ran across it again in July - again searching for information - this time I really got hooked. Don't think I'll be "forgetting" the QB again. :)

erstan947 08-07-2011 05:21 PM

I too, found it with Google. I was killing time while visiting my brother. They were at work and I found the board. I came home lurked for a while then joined. That was the best Google search I have ever done:)

I was making my first quilt and was stuck! Somehow in my searching for help online, I stumbled across the QB. I asked for help, received it :) and lots of encouragement. Now I'm hooked on quilts!!

lovequilts 08-07-2011 05:53 PM

Surfing the web. I've told so many people about this since then

sewNso 08-07-2011 05:55 PM

i had bought a phaff grand quilter and frame used, and was googling for help to learn to use it. it was a bugger. someone during my phaff questions suggested this board. 2 or 3 yrs ago.

hannajo 08-07-2011 05:56 PM

I was just starting to rekindle my interest in quilting, when I saw a very interesting quilt hanging in a church. I wanted to find out more about it, so I frantically searched online for something like it. I know now that it was a bargello that was hanging in that church, and that search lead me here.

Maggiesmom 08-07-2011 05:56 PM

Surfing the internet.

valsma 08-07-2011 05:58 PM

quiltsRfun 08-07-2011 06:21 PM

Now that you mention it, I can't remember
Bet how I found this board either. But I'm glad I did

clynns 08-07-2011 06:22 PM

I'm sure that I was Googling for info. And just today I gave the site info to one of my friends who quilts. There is so much info on here. More than you can get anywhere else.

Susie Quilter 08-07-2011 06:24 PM

A couple of friends told me about it, so I signed up and didn't do anything but lurk for awhile. Now, I'm on here way tooooo much, but love every minute of it.

gmaybee 08-07-2011 06:25 PM

I googled something and this popped up. I lurked for a few months and then decided to join. Not to many days get by without being on here.

Buckeye Rose 08-07-2011 06:26 PM

Scrap Happy 08-07-2011 06:27 PM

I was looking for something quilt related and came across it.

texpat45 08-07-2011 06:36 PM

I think I followed a link from another quilting forum. Jeez, wasn't that long ago (March) you'd think I could remember 5 months back.

Glassquilt 08-07-2011 06:57 PM

I was looking for log cabin ideas, spotted Dunster's and here I am

sharon b 08-07-2011 07:10 PM

I found the quilt board while searching for a pattern.

katesnanna 08-07-2011 08:24 PM

I'm not sure either but it was probably from a blog. I'm a sucker for blog sites. I'm just so glad I did find it though. I couldn't imagine life without the board now.

HummerGardenCrafts 08-07-2011 08:30 PM

I believe it was a friend that told me about QB. And I'm hooked. Made so many new friends here. And know I'll make so many more. I'm really glad I was told about this site.
